Over 60 line-up for Kwita Izina

This year’s Kwita Izina cycling tour is expected to attract some of Africa’s top cyclists. The 321km-race paces off this Saturday with over 60 riders from Rwanda, Kenya, Eritrea, Tanzania, Uganda, Algeria, Morocco and DRC in contention.

This year’s Kwita Izina cycling tour is expected to attract some of Africa’s top cyclists.

The 321km-race paces off this Saturday with over 60 riders from Rwanda, Kenya, Eritrea, Tanzania, Uganda, Algeria, Morocco and DRC in contention.

On Saturday, riders will race from Kigali to Kinigi, before proceeding to Rubavu. Day two will see them heading back to Kigali.

Rwanda will field three teams spearheaded by Adrien Niyonshuti, who is based in South Africa. Two-time champion Abraham Ruhumuriza will not take part in the two-day event which was recently incorporated into the International Cycling Union (UCI) calendar.
