With the Fifa U-17 World Cup only days away, Times Sport is going to run you through the Junior Wasps squad.

Marcel Nzarora
Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 22/11/1994
Place of birth: Kigali
Caps: 16 Goals: 0

His physical presence in goal is a bonus for the team. He made his debut last year against Congo Brazzaville.

He also played in all the games at this year’s Caf U-17 Championship including the final were Rwanda lost 2-1 against Burkina Faso.

He however missed the friendly against France’s U-17 side (the little blues) in April because of a knee injury.

Before joining Amavubi academy, he featured for Electrogaz’s junior team as well as Kimisagara youth club.

Steven Ntalibi
Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 22/12/1994
Place of birth: Kicukiro
Caps: 17 Goals: 0

Ntalibi should be Richard Tardy’s second choice. The player boasts of vast experience after playing several games for second division side SEC football academy.

He had a forgettable day when the Little Blues put five past Rwanda in Clairefontaine, France back in April.

Last year, he had a stint at Primus League side Rayon Sport Prior but failed to break into the first team forcing him to leave in the transfer window.

Kabes Hategekimana
Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 18/04/1994
Place of birth: Musanze
Caps: 1 Goal: 0

Like Nzarora, Hategekimana plays for Amavubi academy. He was among the lucky 30 youngsters to join the academy out of over 150 players.

He was an unused substitute during the Junior Wasps’ friendly against the Little Blues.
