Rwandan band launches album in Bujumbura

Kidz Voice, a local four piece band that plays reggae music, last weekend launched its debut album ‘African Children,’ in the Burundian Capital of Bujumbura.The function, which reportedly attracted a huge crowd, was held at Centre Culturel Francaise, on Saturday, June 4.

Kidz Voice, a local four piece band that plays reggae music, last weekend launched its debut album ‘African Children,’ in the Burundian Capital of Bujumbura.

The function, which reportedly attracted a huge crowd, was held at Centre Culturel Francaise, on Saturday, June 4.
 
The album comprises 14 singles including: ‘Reggae Prophets’, ‘Amahoro’, ‘Africa’, ‘2020 Vision defender’ and ‘Working Hard’.

Founded in 2006, the band is composed of siblings, Heritius Dusabimana, 23, Patrick Nteziryayo, 17, Pacifique Niyigena, 13, and Carine Uwase 19.

The band’s lead singer, Dusabimana told The New Times, that they launched the album to expand their market across the region.
 
"We’re definitely planning to re-launch the album in Rwanda and show our fans the potential we have in music,” Dusabimana said.
