SCORING goals requires creating them first. This is a football truism.

For strikers like Bokota Labama and Baby (Elias Uzamukunda) to put the ball in the net, they will need scissor like passes from midfielders Olivier Karekezi, Migi (Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza) and wingers like Haruna Niyonzima, Peter Kagabo and Adophe Hakundukize.

Bokota is a proven goal scorer, who excelled at the highest level in the Primus league playing for both Rayon Sport and APR.

While Baby has also been in good form for his French club AS Cannes, but the biggest worry for the midfielders will be how to constantly ‘feed’ the two strikers and still protect the back four.

There is no doubt that Coach Sellas Tetteh will be urging his midfield to supply the strikers but also take their chances on goal.

During training in the last few days, Haruna and Karekezi were switching when it came to going forward.

Both midfielders are good at creating and scoring goals and their input will be crucial in Sunday’s qualifier.

As usual, Times Sport will be in Bujumbura to give you a complete analysis of the match and the aftermath.
