Sezibera hands over to Binagwaho

KICUKIRO - The former Minister of Health, Dr. Richard Sezibera, yesterday, officially handed over to Dr. Agnes Binagwaho, at the ministry’s headquarters in Kicukiro. Sezibera left the ministry to take up the post of Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC).He said that the health sector strategic plan is in place and implementation of policies is going on well, adding that he is confident that the staff, headed by Dr. Binagwaho, would successfully lead the ministry to the top.

KICUKIRO - The former Minister of Health, Dr. Richard Sezibera, yesterday, officially handed over to Dr. Agnes Binagwaho, at the ministry’s headquarters in Kicukiro.

Sezibera left the ministry to take up the post of Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC).

He said that the health sector strategic plan is in place and implementation of policies is going on well, adding that he is confident that the staff, headed by Dr. Binagwaho, would successfully lead the ministry to the top.

"I have worked with this good team for the past two and a half years and I am happy that we have managed to achieve a lot; in fact I can’t wait for the Demographic Health Survey results which, I believe, will show our good performance,” Dr. Sezibera said.

"It is my pleasure therefore, to hand over to a former colleague, Dr. Binagwaho, who will continue to guide the ministry in the right direction,” he said.

The new Health Minister also commended the ministry’s great achievements under the leadership of Dr. Sezibera, citing that his exemplary guidance will lead the East African Community to greater prosperity.
