MUHANGA- Business at ACEJ Karama Secondary School in Muhanga District was paralysed after 15 students fell into severe trauma early Tuesday.

The cause of the trauma was unclear, but school authorities say it was sparked off by one student who ran around the compound screaming at the top of her voice.

"She began running  and screaming, scaring the whole school. Other students followed.” explained Gaspard Gatera, the head teacher.

However, Kabgayi Hospital medics, local officials and teachers intervened to calm down the situation at the school.

Only one student, Serafina Mutesi, 20, remains hospitalised at Kabgayi after suffering from a heart condition, but the school authorities say she has a history of health problems.

Students told The New Times that the night before the Tuesday incident, another student claimed to have had a dreadful dream, which frightened them.
