THE junior Wasps arrive in Taos, New Mexico this afternoon for their final training stint ahead of the Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

After learning that they will be playing in the high altitude city of Pachuca, Richard Tardy opted to have the team’s final training session in Taos because it has a similar weather.

Speaking to Times Sport yesterday, the Taos Sports Alliance executive director Joel Israel said, "Taos is very proud to host Rwanda’s U-17 side and wishes the team the best of luck in the World Cup.”

Tardy also welcomed back the trio of Michelle Rusheshangoga (feet), Faustin Usengimana (knee) and Alfred Mugabo (thigh) from injury.

He is currently working with 24 players but is expected to name his final 21-man squad this Sunday.

Rwanda is drawn in Group C and opens her campaign on June 19 against England. They then play Uruguay on June 22 and Canada on June 27.
