Atraco’s new signing Peter Kagabo scored a second half goal to enable the taxi-men take their league table lead into the second round.

Kagabo who was recruited from Kibuye at the start of the season unleashed a superb shot outside the penalty box to further alienate Kiyovu’s title hopes.

A 1-0 victory over the Greens enabled Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s side to clinch 30 points in their ten first round league fixtures. Atraco has only lost against APR.

Atraco’s victory was steered by the return of Joseph Kabagambe who has not featured for the league leaders since the start of the season.

Kabagambe has been featuring for Ugandan Super league giants Express since December last year.

However, the Ugandan born who currently possess two club licenses was barred by Caf from featuring for the Red Eagles in the Confederation Cup.

Ntagwabira told Times Sport yesterday that Kabagambe has been featuring for Express illegally and has since returned back to his club.

"I don’t think he will return back to Kampala because his contract with Atraco has not expired. I talked to him and he is back for settlement at our club," Ntagwabira said.

Elsewhere, Military FC defeated AS Kigali 3-2 at Mumena stadium to go tenth on the league table with eight points. Mbage Twite scored one as Mohammed Ali registered a brace to lift the relegation threatened side to go above the relegation zone since the start of the season. Gasana Papy and Pablo Nduwimana were on target for MVK side.

Police recorded their biggest victory of the season by hammering Etincelles 4-1 at Shorongyi grounds while Marine held Electrogaz to a goalless draw at Umuganda stadium.
