Editor,

The ongoing land registration exercise by the National Land’s office is a welcome development and I would like to encourage fellow Rwandans to embrace it.

For instance, a holder of a land title is advantaged in the sense that she or he can use it as security to access a loan and be able to start up small business projects that will transform the country in the long run.

Land is a valuable asset that has transformed the lives of many people, the world over.

Like Dr Emmanuel Nkurunziza, the Director General at the Land Centre rightly explained, let us participate fully and ensure the exercise is a success. Land title in our possession will give us a sense of security that the land belongs to us.
