NYAGATARE - Nyagatare School of Nursing and Midwifery has partnered with Kiyombe sector in Nyagatare district aimed at enhancing their cooperation in solving community problems.

On Tuesday, school officials announced a donation of desks worth Rwf 2.5million to Kiyombe sector schools, underscoring their support to education in the area.

Speaking to reporters, John Mugarura, the head of the Nursing School said the donation was the beginning of their supportive activities to the sector.

"We are committed to contribute to development of the sector and the country in general because this is the logic behind the establishment of such institutions,” Mugarura said.

Emmanuel Mwumvaneza, Kiyombe sector Executive Secretary, thanked the school for their support, adding that the offer will enhance the government’s goal to promote education.

He added that the sector plans to construct teachers’ houses in part to solve their accommodation woes.

"Our sector is too remote. And this makes it difficult for teachers to travel to and from the working place.

We intend to construct teachers’ quarters to solve the problem,” he said.
