The Ministry of Trade and Industry, this week, launched the Economic and Trade Atlas, a premier source of information on various sectors of the economy.

The atlas, which will be available at all government institutions and Rwandan embassies across the globe, was published by the German Development Cooperation, ADC, in partnership with the Government.

In the Atlas, users will have immediate access to detailed economic and trade related information, which is illustrated in 77 maps and 58 charts covering demographics and regional integration, among many other sectors.

The government has opened the market to investors and initiated various reforms to create a business friendly environment.

In today’s competitive business environment, so often referred to as the information age, access to accurate and most current information can make the difference in building successful businesses.

With timely and detailed information, investors will be better equipped to make decisions that they will not only be comfortable with, but will also benefit the growth of the economy.

The Atlas will, therefore, help investors closely follow key economic trends and make appropriate financial investment decisions.

In addition to the Atlas, the various government institutions and the private sector should take advantage of other channels, especially the internet, to relay market information and investment opportunities to the outside world.
