AMAVUBI coach Sellas Tetteh has added one player to the 21-man squad that is preparing for next month’s 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Burundi.

The Ghanaian has given Police midfielder Eric Ndahayo his first call up after an impressive display in the Primus League and Peace Cup.

Ndahayo, who is an elder brother to the Junior Wasps captain Emery Bayisenge, is likely to replace Jean Claude Iranzi who is suspended for the return leg after accumulated back to back yellow cards.

Rwanda is currently 3rd in Group H on three points after defeating Burundi 3-1 in the first leg in March.
Iranzi, Elias Uzamukunda and Eric Gasana scored the goals in the tie.

Ivory Coast tops the group with nine points; Benin is second with 4 points while Burundi is at the bottom with one point.

Amavubi’s win over Burundi not only lifted the players’ morale but also helped Rwanda rise on the Fifa rankings from 135th in February to 122nd in May.

Provisional Squad: Jean Luc Ndayishimiye, Jean Claude Ndoli, Patrick Rutayisire, Evariste Mutuyimana, Eric Gasana, Abouba Sibomana, Ismail Nshutiyamagara, Donatien Tuyizere, Aloua Gaseruka, Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza, Hussein Sibomana, Peter Kagabo, Haruna Niyonzima, Hegman Ngomirakiza, Eric Serugaba, Eric Ndahayo, Jacques Tuyisenge, Kipson Atuheire, Abed Saidi Makasi, Fabrice Dusingizimana, Jean de Dieu Uwineza.
