"The best way to prevent malaria is to cut bushes. Clearing bushes around the house and cleaning regularly prevents mosquitoes from breeding young ones near one’s home.”

Yves Iradukunda, 12, Remera Catholic Primary School P.5.

"To sleep under the mosquito net is very important. People who don’t sleep under a mosquito net are likely to suffer from malaria all the time.”

Abdul Ishimwe, 12, Kibagabaga Primary School P.5.

"There are  some children who enjoy playing in the rain yet they fall sick. When one plays in the rain they get sick of malaria. We are supposed to listen to our parents if they warn us from playing in the rain.”

Innoncent Habimana, 10, Kimironko Primary School, P.4.
