Natasha’s Chronicles:Loyalty to our country

Loving our country, enjoying it, and all that is wonderful but what makes you an actual part of loyalty. The free dictionary best describes it as ‘feelings or attitude of devoted attachment and affection’, similar to having a best friend for whom you do good things, share nice stories, lean on one another. What makes you valuable to them is your loyalty. Your selflessness towards them, the way you prevent them from going astray, defending their cause as long as you can and also your willingness to go an extra mile for them is loyalty.

Our country needs us to be that kind of loyal friend. Yes, we may be prompt tax payers, members of several forces behind the good things going on around us including contribution of good ideas to a cause that will benefit many, speak well of it and all the sacrificial things we usually do.

But let’s take time to ask ourselves, ‘does there exist within me a burning urge to defend our country’s cause?’, ‘When I go to bed and I think, I ask  myself whether among my plans,  are there any  that benefit my country compared to my interest?

Can I ever be willing to restrain from any wrong doing or selfish acts for my country’s sake?

In a nutshell do you feel be accountable to your country and the people who may be affected by this commitment in one way or other?

If Rwanda is to climb up the mountain of success to greater heights than, we need exceptional leadership with a sense of choice of what to invest our time and words in.

Loyalty is a simple virtue, it makes nations and its people stand out. Relationships make sense and lights up all other virtues.

Our lives, families, country and the world needs. It is priceless! Let’s make sure it’s part of our character.
