Rwanda's envoy to the Czech Republic, Christine Nkulikiyinka, presented her Letters of Credence to President Vaclav Klaus.

The Ambassador also held discussions with President Klaus, who was impressed by Rwanda’s achievements and the vision for the future.

Klaus also expressed his wish to see a significant growth of the political and business cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador also met senior officials of the Czech Republic, among them the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Industry and officials from the National Office of Tourism.

Tomáš Dub, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs who recently visited Rwanda said that he was impressed by the country, its people and the efforts made to develop after the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

"My country has the interest to support Rwanda to preserve its peace, stability and beauty for the future,” said Dub.

"This aim shall be realised by encouraging Czech entrepreneurs to invest in Rwanda, particularly in the energy sector and by promoting cooperation between universities.”
