KIGALI - British movie actor, Jimi Mistry, will testify to the world about Rwanda’s genocide tragedy and current development.
 
He is in the country on the invitation of Action AID, to help mobilise funds for the NGOs charity programmes.

"The media misinformed us about the Genocide and the country’s recovery. I will tell what I have witnessed as my contribution to this amazing place,” he commented after a visit to the Kigali Memorial Centre yesterday.

During his three-day stay, he visited several parts of the country and contributed RWF 1M to the Kigali Memorial Centre

"Jimi will bear witness for Rwanda’s tragic history and inspire potential sponsors to donate to our activities,” explained Josephine Uwamariya, the country director of Action AID.

The actor appeared in famous movies including ‘Blood Diamond’, ‘The Guru’ and the award-winning ‘East is East’.
