Rwanda’s Ambassador to Sweden presents credentials

STOCKHOLM: Rwanda’s new Ambassador to Sweden and the other Nordic countries, Venetia Sebudandi, presented her Letters of Credence to King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, yesterday.Earlier in the day, the Ambassador met with senior officials at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from where she was driven in a horse-drawn state coach in a lavish ceremony to the East Wing of the Royal Palace for the meeting with the King.

STOCKHOLM: Rwanda’s new Ambassador to Sweden and the other Nordic countries, Venetia Sebudandi, presented her Letters of Credence to King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, yesterday.
 
Earlier in the day, the Ambassador met with senior officials at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from where she was driven in a horse-drawn state coach in a lavish ceremony to the East Wing of the Royal Palace for the meeting with the King.
 
Ambassador Sebudandi was accompanied to the Royal Palace by the Second Counselor of the Rwandan Embassy in Stockholm, Evode Mudaheranwa.
 
"I intend to further strengthen the close and constructive relations between our two governments, the private sector and various sectors of the civil society,” Sebudandi said after the ceremony.
 
Sweden is one of Rwanda’s significant bilateral partners with its support going to natural resources, poverty reduction, good governance and education among others.

The Embassy of Rwanda to Stockholm also has jurisdiction over Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

Prior to her current posting, Ambassador Sebudandi served as Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the UN in Geneva, the World Trade Organisation and other International Organisations in Geneva. She was also concurrently accredited as Ambassador of Rwanda to Switzerland.
