Day 4
Rwanda 65/10
Nigeria 67/1
Nigeria won by nine wickets

RWANDA took their losing streak at the on-going ICC-Africa Division 2 T20 championship to five games after yesterday’s loss against Nigeria.

The team’s batting woes were again on full display after posting a paltry score of 65/10 with Audifax Byiringiro the only batsman to get to double figures (16).

Awolowo Olalekam and Sean Phillips ripped through Rwanda’s batting line up to finish with impressive bowling figures of 7 for 22.

Nigeria then chased down the score for the loss of one wicket. Phillips again stood out with a quick fire 45 to claim the man of the match award.

The win left Nigeria joint-top with Botswana on eight points although the later have a game in hand.

On the other hand, Rwanda’s dismal show means that their faint hopes of playing in August’s ICC – Africa T20 division one tournament in Kampala, Uganda are all but over.

Malawi also remains rooted at the bottom of the table after losing to Ghana.
