Elion Victory is one of the youngest and most popular musicians in Rwanda’s showbiz.

The 21-year-old musician started his music career in 2006 as a back-up vocalist and guitarist for local artists, Richard Ngendahayo and Dr Claude.

Elion became quickly famous because of his hit singles ‘Amafaranga’ and ‘Maritha’. In December 2010, he finally released his debut album "Babwire” and is working on his second album, "Juu Yanini”.

Elion’s ability to play live music has set him apart as a fans’ favorite performer. He is also a song writer and a talented guitarist.

He attributes his success to Ngendahayo and Dr Claude who inspired him to develop his musical skill.

"Working with the two artists gave me skill and confidence to pursue my solo music carreer,” Elion said.

Elion has been nominated as one of the best Afro Beat artist in the local 2010/2011 ‘Salax Award’.

He said he wants to support budding artists as his personal contribution to the local music industry.
