The National athletics coach Adolph Rukenkanya, has said that endurance, team spirit and team work are key to winning the March 30 Edinburgh World Cross country championship.

"The team is used to the discipline but the performance of each athlete varies at different terrains,” Rukenkanya said before heading to Ruhengeri to link up with the Edinburgh bound team.

The Edinburgh team is made up of nine athletes and Rukenkanya said that he already has the Edinburgh Cross country map which is made up of plateaus, hills and swamps.

"We are going to concentrate on the hilly terrain because the Edinburgh map is very challenging,” he continued.

Although the event is not meant to win minimums for Beijing Olympics, the players will pick capacity to aspire for better minimums in other events.
