Editor,It was not easy to take. We lost great and brilliant brothers in Ephraim Gatera and Philbert Manzi. Their last concert was on April 30, 2011, during the 17th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

It was not easy to take. We lost great and brilliant brothers in Ephraim Gatera and Philbert Manzi.
Their last concert was on April 30, 2011, during the 17th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
During this concert, many of us had the last chance to shake their hands and crack jokes.
Their sweet smiles, humility and love for friends will always be missed by family, friends and the choir. If there is love, there will always be time for grief.
Death leaves the deepest wounds to heal. Love leaves a memory nobody can steal. Memories bring smiles on our faces, tears in our eyes, and at times simultaneously.
We ask God to extend a healing hand to those still in critical condition.
Romans 14:8 says:If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord.”
We are still in the Lord’s hands. We loved our brothers, but God loved them more.
Manzi and Gatera-we loved you so much and hope to meet you in Heaven.May the Good Lord rest your soul in eternal peace.
