Golfers visit Nyamata Memorial Site

OVER 100 Golfers of the Kigali Golf club yesterday visited the Nyamata Memorial Genocide site to pay homage to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.According to the President of the club Innocent Rutamu, the visit is part of the club’s annual remembrance of the victims and survivors of the Genocide.

OVER 100 Golfers of the Kigali Golf club yesterday visited the Nyamata Memorial Genocide site to pay homage to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

According to the President of the club Innocent Rutamu, the visit is part of the club’s annual remembrance of the victims and survivors of the Genocide.

"We always honor the victims and survivors of the Genocide. We do different activities each year and this time round, we visited the Nyamata Memorial site.”Kamanzi said after leading other Golfers in laying a wreath at the site.

Meanwhile Golfers in the country are gearing up for the KCB East Africa Golf Tour – Kigali leg slated for May 26 -29th.

Over 120 Professional and Amateur golfers will take part in the 4 day tourney which has prize money of 6.9m Frw.
