Rwandan students shine at International Youth Forum

Rwandan students have been recognised for their participation in a youth forum in Mumbai, India.
The 18-member delegation who also played a leading role in the annual conference, were presented with certificates of recognition.

According to a statement, Thierry Murangira, a Rwandan PhD scholar, captivated the audience with a paper on "DNA Technology on the Administration of Justice-Ethical and Legal Issues.”

"Rwandans took active part not only in the business sessions but also in showcasing their culture by performing a series of traditional cultural dances,” stated Clarence Fernandez of Rwanda Renaissance, one of the organisers.

The Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai, hosted the students from fifteen countries, who attended the International Youth Forum 2011.

Dr. Daphne Pillai, the university’s Rector remarked; "We are indeed very pleased to host this international delegation, consisting of over sixty students from fifteen countries. In this fiercely competitive world, success has several dimensions far widespread than the vortex of academia.”

He added that their objective is to create a conducive climate for students to unleash their untapped potential.

Diallo Nyiringabo Rodrigue, the head of the Rwandan delegation, expressed his delight to lead such a large group of students to the forum.
