Makuza attends Museveni swearing-in

KAMPALA - Prime Minister Bernard Makuza yesterday attended the swearing-in ceremony of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni where he represented President Paul Kagame.The ceremony that took place at Kololo Independence Ground in Kampala saw Museveni sworn into office for another five-year term.

KAMPALA - Prime Minister Bernard Makuza yesterday attended the swearing-in ceremony of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni where he represented President Paul Kagame.

The ceremony that took place at Kololo Independence Ground in Kampala saw Museveni sworn into office for another five-year term.
 
After the swearing in, Prime Minister Makuza joined other guests at a state banquet organised by their host at the State house, Entebbe.

Heads of State present at the ceremony included; South Sudan President Salva Kiir, Kenya’s Mwai Kibaki, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed of Somalia and Robert Mugabe of  Zimbabwe.

Others were; Tanzanian Jakaya Kikwete, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and the newly elected Nigerian President Jonathan Goodluck.

They were joined by former Kenyan president Daniel Arap Moi among other dignitaries.
