Peace Cup
Quarter-finals (May 21)

Group A
APR vs Kiyovu
Muhanga vs Mukura
Group B
Rayon Sport vs Police
Marines vs Etincelles/AS Kigali

FOOTBALL fans have been given a huge treat after local giants APR-Kiyovu and Rayon Sport- Police were paired to play each other in the last eight of the Peace Cup.

Rayon, who are chasing their first silverware since 2005, take on Police FC in a mouth watering clash that will only be bettered by the APR-Kiyovu match, which invariably leaves a smell of burnt cordite in its wake.

Commenting on the quarter-finals draw, Kiyovu Coach Baptista Kayiranga bluntly said that his team had nothing to fear.

"APR have had a good season but this is a cup tie were the best prepared team prevails,” he warned, before adding, "We will respect them but fearing them is out of the question.”Meanwhile, the blues will have scores to settle when they clash with a revitalized Police side.

Last month, Police stunned Rayon in the Primus league but Jean Marie Ntagwabira is desperate to get one over the rapidly improving side this time round.

In the other quarter-final ties, Muhanga take on Mukura while Marines play the winner between Etincelles and AS Kigali.

The winner between APR and Kiyovu will then play the winner between Marines and Etincelles/ AS Kigali in the last four.

The other semi-final tie pits the winner between Rayon Sport and Police against either Muhanga or Mukura.
