It is commendable to hear that the Ministry of Education is in talks with the governments of the United Kingdom and Belgium to establish a Leadership College.

Many schools face a multitude of challenges and the introduction of this leadership college would indeed be instrumental in equipping head teachers, deputy heads, school bursars and secretaries of secondary schools, with necessary skills.

I wish to appeal to the Executive Secretary of the Teacher Service Commission (TSC), Emmanuel Muvunyi and his team to speed up the initiative. Leadership skills are crucial in managing and sustaining institutions.
