This letter is in reference to your article that appeared in yesterday’s issue of The NewTimes entitled "Districts to get Health Managers.” I wish to applaud the new Minister of Health Dr. Agnes Binagwaho, and Dr. Desire Ndushabandi, Vice Rector of NUR, for this great initiative.
Hospital managers and medical assistants will definitely play a key role in enhancing the facilities available at hospitals and health centres and in mitigating the suffering of all those in need of medical assistance.
As Dr.Binagwaho has rightly said , this seven year programme will help the country in her " take off towards excellence ".
The health sector is of prime importance for any country and initiatives such as these will steer Rwanda to even greater heights. I wish this partnership with the Clinton Initiative every success.
