Mulindi-Japan One Love Project prepares charity concert

IN a bid to support families affected by the recent Japan’s earthquake and tsunami, Mulindi-Japan One Love project has organised charity concerts slated for May 11- 13. The concerts will feature two seasoned local Reggae bands, ‘Holly Jah Doves’ and ‘Kwanda Band’ and a memorial get-together for Reggae legend Bob Marley, who died May11, 1981.

IN a bid to support families affected by the recent Japan’s earthquake and tsunami, Mulindi-Japan One Love project has organised charity concerts slated for May 11- 13.

The concerts will feature two seasoned local Reggae bands, ‘Holly Jah Doves’ and ‘Kwanda Band’ and a memorial get-together for Reggae legend Bob Marley, who died May11, 1981.

Gatera Emmanuel Rudasingwa, the co-founder of the non-profit project, said all proceeds from the concerts will be donated to families affected by the tsunami as a sign of love.

Apart from the performances, the Kimihura-based project will also hold sports competitions and theatre shows to support the Asian troubled country.

The Mulindi-One Love project was initiated after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi to support the casualties of the Genocide.
