BUFFALOES are eyeing back to back titles as they compete in today’s Shark 7s tournament at Amahoro Stadium.

Besides the holders, eight more teams are in contention and they include Muhanga, Simba, Tumba College, Gorillas, Lion de fer and hosts Sharks, who will field two teams.

The tournament will be played in two categories; Main and Plate Cup but Buffaloes’ coach Gerald Nsenga has his eyes on the Main Cup.

"We did it last year and we believe we can do it this year. We want to use this tournament as a tonic for the league,” he said.

In last year’s Main Cup final, fly-half Lucien Bikamba and center forward Vincent Kamali scored two tries and two penalties respectively to propel Buffaloes to a 14-7 win.

In the semis, Gorillas had routed Sharks 14-0, while Buffaloes thumped Grizzlies 20-6.

This year’s edition has been bankrolled by Soras and BMC under their SKOL brand.
