BK donates to Bumbogo Genocide survivors

KIGALI - Bank of Kigali (BK), yesterday, donated eleven cows to Genocide survivors in Bumbogo Sector, Kigali City, under the cattle stocking programme commonly known as Girinka.The cows, together with appropriate medicine, were handed over by Flora Nsinga, BK’s head of Human Resources and Administration, in the presence of local leaders.Nsinga urged the residents to take good care of the cows.

KIGALI - Bank of Kigali (BK), yesterday, donated eleven cows to Genocide survivors in Bumbogo Sector, Kigali City, under the cattle stocking programme commonly known as Girinka.

The cows, together with appropriate medicine, were handed over by Flora Nsinga, BK’s head of Human Resources and Administration, in the presence of local leaders.Nsinga urged the residents to take good care of the cows.

"You need to feed the cows and treat them well so that they provide you with milk to feed your families and generate some income,” she said.

Edith Muteteri, a widowed genocide survivor, expressed gratitude to the bank’s management, saying that survivors have not been left behind in the development of the country because of the good leadership of the country.

"We have benefited from many government programmes that have uplifted us from poverty and empowered our lives. Bank of Kigali’s donation will always be remembered,” Muteteri said in an interview.
