THE Junior Wasps paid dearly for a below par second half display as they suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of their French counterparts (the Little Blues).
After holding the French side to a goalless draw at half time, things went totally wrong in the second half as the youngsters leaked in five goals in the final 30 minutes.
It was not the ideal way to end their training camp which had been characterized by a 2-all draw against Drancy U-20 and wins against La Vallion (2-0), Auxerre (3-2) and Creteil (2-0).
The team jets back this afternoon aboard SN Brussels and will regroup next week ahead of a high profile match against Tottenham U-17 on May 18 in North London.
From London, they will spend another week of intensive training in Frankfurt, Germany before flying to the US (Texas) for a final practice session ahead of the showdown in Mexico.
The Fifa U-17 World Cup will run from June 18-July 10 in Mexico.
