France U-17 vs Junior Wasps

RWANDA’s U-17 head coach Richard Tardy will have a good measure of his team’s progress after this afternoon’s trial match against France’s U-17 team at Clairefontaine.

While the Junior Wasps are using the contest as a build up to the 2011 Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico, their French counterparts are sharpening up for next month’s Euro U-17 championship in Serbia.

In the build up to today’s game, the youngsters have grown from strength to strength.
After a slow start against Drancy FC (2-2), the junior wasps have picked up two wins against La Vallion 2-1 and Auxerre reserves and were set to play Creteil by press time.

The team jets back this Saturday and will regroup next week ahead of another high profile friendly match against Tottenham’s U-17 side on May 18 in North London.

The youngsters will then proceed to Frankfurt, Germany, for a one-week training camp before flying to the US for a final practice session ahead of the showdown in Mexico.
