Editor,

Through your news paper, i would like to commend the Ministry of Health for its continued rigorous campaign against malaria. It gives us hope when we learn that health officials have registered a 54 percent reduction in malaria related deaths.

Malaria is one of the leading killer diseases in Africa. What we need to do, is give our health officials and other anti-malaria organisations our full support, so that the disease becomes a thing of the past in the near future.

I believe one of the main reasons why we have registered a decrease is the fact that sensetisation campaigns and other strategies, especially the use of mosquito nets have been effective.

We could help more by assuring Rwandans that sleeping under mosquito nets is harmless.
