While the   Ombudsman,  deserves kudos for intervening, last year ,by directing TIG’s (Travaux d’Interêts Générale) Executive Secretary, Evariste Bizimana, to reinstate former employees, some have yet to be redeployed several months after the directive.

Only 11 former employees have so far been reinstated out of the original sixteen.

As one of the former employees, I wish to raise the issue of illegal dismissal.

It is very clear that the employees were fired on unsubstantiated grounds because the TIG management failed to point out the mistakes we made during investigations conducted by officials from the Ombudsman’s office. 

I appeal to the Ombudsman and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to intervene.
