THE Junior Wasps have received a major boost ahead of tomorrow’s friendly against Creteil’s U-17 team.

Victor and Jean Marie Vianney Rusingizandekwe from Marines, a second division club in Belgium joined the team over the weekend.

With Alfred Mugabo and Suleiman Kakira certain to sit out the friendly due to injuries, the pair is expected to play a cameo role against Creteil.

Richard Tardy’s youngsters started their training camp in Paris with a 2-all draw against Drancy’s U-20 side but have gone from strength to strength since.

After securing a 2-1 win over La Vallion, the youngsters edged Auxerre’s reserve team 3-2 over the weekend.

After Creteil, the junior wasps will have an uphill task against France U-17 (Little Blues) who will be using the warm-up game to prepare for the Euro U-17 Championship slated to run from May 3-15 in Serbia.

The team will jet back this weekend before heading to London for a high profile friendly match against Tottenham’s U-17 side on May 18.
The team will then proceed to Frankfurt, Germany for a one-week training camp before flying to the US for a final practice session ahead of the showdown in Mexico.

Meanwhile, Brazil together with Uruguay, Argentina and Ecuador have qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
