"We have been working closely with local leaders to identify the most vulnerable people in this sector,” said Willy Mutabazi, the Coordinator of Ituze Association. We helped them to form cooperatives and today we are boosting their activities”.
He promised further assistance to the cooperatives.

Esperance Byukusenge, a representative of Dukorane Umurava cooperative, said that the cooperative seeks to expand into other areas of agricultural production.

"We hope that in the coming years, every one of us will have at least a cow. This will help us in improving our living conditions because we will have milk to drink and manure to increase our agricultural production,” Byukusenge noted.
