Editor,

Another Genocide fugitive, Mathias Bushishi, a former Magistrate, was arrested by Belgian police, following investigations carried out by both Belgium and Rwanda.

I appeal to other countries to take a leaf from Belgium and apprehend all remaining suspects, roaming their respective countries. Arresting these suspects and arraigning them before court will end the culture of impunity not only in Rwanda but the whole world.

There is no reason why people like Bushishi, a former prosecutor in Butare, in the Southern Province, who had an international arrest warrant to his name for war crimes and Genocide should be shielded.

Survivors in Butare testify that the accused played a key role in planning the massacre of Tutsis in the southern region.
