Editor,

I am happy to learn that Rwandan refugees, currently living in Congo Brazzaville are eager to return home. In my view, I don’t see any convincing reason why Rwandans should continue to live as refugees, where  they are subjected to untold suffering.

Yet, the current leadership has done everything to unite the people of Rwanda. The government has not only managed to transform the country economically, but has also ensured that stability prevails.

Besuides, the law clearly states that all Rwandans should be treated equally without discrimination.

The government has adopted an impressive strategy known as "come and see”, which gives refugees the opportunity to visit the country first and see for themselves the reality on the ground before their decision to return is made.

I laud the government for adopting this initiative. Some refugees have been told lies about the country and it is important that they are facilitated to visit their country first.

Since the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, many Rwandans have returned from exile.  All Rwandans must come home and help develop the country.
