Players Abroad: Habimana on target as Mutsinzi plays debut game for FK Jerv

It was a good weekend for a number of Rwandan players plying their trade abroad, especially for Glen Habimana who scored for Victoria Rosport in Luxembourg while Emmanuel Imanishimwe put up another great show for FAR Rabat in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Samuel Gueulette also had a good game in Belgium whereas Ange Mutsinzi played his first game in the colors of new club FK Jerv.

CAF Confederations Cup

Emmanuel Imanishimwe was superb at the left flank and played 90 minutes for AS FAR Rabat who beat Egyptian side Future FC 2-0 in the CAF Confederations Cup group stages to move top of Group C with 7 points.

France

Youngster Hakim Sahabo was not in action last weekend as the French U19 league is on break until March 5.

Elsewhere in the Ligue 1, Warren Kamazi was an unused substitute during Toulouse’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Reims.

In the CFA League, Irvyn Lomami featured for the second team of Olympique Lyonnais who lost 3-1 to Jura Sud.

Belgium

In the Belgian third tier, central midfielder Samuel Gueulette was introduced in the second half and put in an impressive performance as his side Raal La Louviere beat Winkel Sport 4-2. Raal are now third on the league table with 48 points from 26 games

In the Challenger League relegation play off, Djihad Bizimana continued to struggle with game time and was not part of the KMSK Deinze team that lost 3-1 to Jong Genk.

England

Noam Emeran played all 90 minutes of action for Manchester United U21 who travelled to Wolves to draw 2-2 in the Premier League 2.

Luxembourg

Glen Habimana played 83 minutes for Victoria Rosport and was on target despite his team losing 3-2 to FC Progres.

Sven Kalisa was an unused substitute for Etzella Ettelbruck who were humiliated 6-0 by FC Differdange

Right-back Jonathan Nsanzimana did not make the Union Titus Petange squad that fell to a 2-0 away defeat to US Mondorf.

Norway

Central defender Ange Mutsinzi played his first game for FK Jerv as they held Stabaek to a goalless draw in a pre-season friendly.

Iraq

Faustin Usengimana featured for Al Qasim SC in their 1-1 draw with Naft Al-Wasat.
