ARSENAL wonder-kid Alfred Mugabo is expected to join the Junior Wasps’ camp in Paris this Wednesday.

The 16-year-old striker plays for Arsenal’s youth side and is said to have opted out of the team’s upcoming Ferroli Cup tournament in Italy to prove his worth to Junior Wasps head coach Richard Tardy.

Tardy is expected to feature Mugabo and Nancy FC youngster Bonfils Kabanda in Saturday’s friendly against Auxerre.

Other players expected in camp include Belgium-based duo of Victor and Jean Marie Rusingizandekwe.

After last week’s 2-all draw against Drancy U-20, the youngsters take on La Valloin this afternoon as they continue their build up to the Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

The team will wind up their training camp with games against Creteil (April 26) and France’s U-17 national team (April 28) and Tardy reckons that the game against the Little Blues will give him a good picture of the team’s progress.

The Little Blues will use the match as a build-up to the Euro U-17 championship slated to run from May 3-15 in Serbia.

From Paris, the team will jet back before heading to London for a high profile friendly match against Tottenham’s U-17 side on May 18.

The team will then proceed to Frankfurt, Germany for a one-week training camp before flying to the US for a final practice session ahead of the showdown in Mexico.
