KIGALI - The outgoing Board of Directors of the Rwanda NGO Forum on HIV/AIDS and Health Promotion, yesterday, handed over office to new management.

The ceremony was held at the forum’s premises in Kicukiro District between the outgoing chairman, Aimable Mwananawe, and his successor, Dr Prince Bosco Kanani.

Mwananawe said that the outgoing board has been a hard-working team that enabled the forum to record major achievements in fighting against HIV/Aids in the country.

"I became the chairman of this forum in 2007, and during that time, the institutions had a lot of challenges, including financial and managerial constraints, but I am glad that we are leaving it in a healthy condition,” Mwananawe said.

He promised to stay close to the new team and offer support whenever needed.

Kanani hailed the outgoing board for the achievements, adding that they would use the foundation to take the forum to another level.

"One of my key priorities during my term is to build firm leadership characterised by transparency and accountability,” Kanani said.
