The Children’s Times has learnt that some S.1 and S.4 students are still at home while their friends have already commenced studies.

Most of the students who need transfers from one school to another are finding it hard for one reason or another. Problems range from lack of school fees, scholastic materials, and sickness among others.

Children from such disadvantaged familes and category find it hard to report on time. It is in this regard that the Children’s Times calls upon all stakeholders in charge of the student’s transfer and registration to quicken the process so that students do not miss lessons.

The head teachers and principals of schools should help children from disadvantaged families report at school as soon as possible.

Such children should at least be allowed in class, short of school requirement as their parents struggle to provide the necessities.
