Local tour company woos visitors from Germany

Victoria International, a local company specializing in Travel & Tours, yesterday, welcomed 36 tourists from Germany.  The 36 tourists who arrived in 12 chartered planes, will travel across the country, including the Virunga Mountains.

Victoria International, a local company specializing in Travel & Tours, yesterday, welcomed 36 tourists from Germany.
The 36 tourists who arrived in 12 chartered planes, will travel across the country, including the Virunga Mountains.

They are on an African tour that began in North Africa plan to be in the country for two days before proceeding to southern Africa.

‘We organized this visit to show travel agencies around Rwanda that there is a lot they can do to sensitize people about the beauty of Rwanda, its people and the tourism industry’ said Gilbert Rugomwa, the company’s managing director.

‘All of us are very pleased we finally made it to Rwanda. We’ve heard many wonderful stories about the peace and friendly character of Rwandese and we always wanted to come and see Rwanda and its natural features by ourselves,’ explained Jan Brill, one of the tourists.

Apart from this initiative, Victoria International plans to double the number of tourists this May when it organizes a similar event.
