Rwanda Stock Exchange; Week ended January 25th, 2011

Last week RSE made yet another record with a historic turnover of Rwf 2.2 billion from 12.75 million Bralirwa shares traded in 148 deals.  Trading for the brewery was very active and the share price consolidated at around Rwf 170 mostly and hit a high of Rwf 175 on Thursday to close the week at Rwf 170, a decrease of Rwf 15 from the previous week’s closing.

Last week RSE made yet another record with a historic turnover of Rwf 2.2 billion from 12.75 million Bralirwa shares traded in 148 deals.  Trading for the brewery was very active and the share price consolidated at around Rwf 170 mostly and hit a high of Rwf 175 on Thursday to close the week at Rwf 170, a decrease of Rwf 15 from the previous week’s closing. 

The previous week recorded a turnover of Rwf 6,239,300 from 34,400 Bralirwa shares traded in 11 deals. The buyers were predominantly foreign as they are seeing the market stabilizing. At the end of business on Friday, 1,501,000 Bralirwa shares were on offer in 2 lots at Rwf 175 and one bid of Rwf 2,794,100 shares at Rwf 170.

KCB shares and NMG shares remained unchanged; they closed at Rwf 173 and Rwf 1,200, respectively.
