It was one day as any other. After my classes I went to a café Resto to have myself a drink and to meet my girlfriend. After chatting, we decided to retire. On my way home, I met my friend James, who I hadn’t seen in a while.

He later confessed to me that he was seeing a girl who’s older than he was, and that he heard she had been seeing other boyfriends.

Even though he had never previously talked about or thought of using condom, this time he seemed worried. He had heard rumors she had Hepatitis B and that it was due to her occasional heroin use.

We talked a lot and I referred him to a medical center for a check up. He refused to go, saying he was feeling fine. After awhile, the girl left for another country.

However, I did my best to convince him to test and he finally went and the results came out negative. Though the test was scary, he now knows his status.

I encourage my fellow teenagers to stay away from drug abuse and sex before marriage.
