Summary:  The Harry Potter Movie Franchise is a set of seven fantasy-adventure films based on the Harry Potter novels by J. K. Rowling. The seven films are;
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire  (2005)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2010/2011)
The last film (Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows) is split into two parts. Part one was released in November 2010, part 2 is scheduled for release in July 2011.

Verdict: If you are not into magic, fantasy-adventure, then you are definitely not going to understand why this is one of the highest grossing movie franchises of all times. Watching the actors mature alongside with the plot (the first Harry Potter movie was filmed in 2001), you get an attachment to the films, as if you are watching a real life story where people grow older. While some adults may find the whole idea of childish, there are those who think these are the best movies to be ever released. For my part, I don’t think they are that much, but then, statistically, I am proven wrong by the number of copies each movie has sold just weeks after its release.
