How to tell that she is aback stabber

Every time you collide into her with a workmate or friend, back stabbers present a fake smile. It’s hard to tell she is one since they are good at pretending in their little game.

A back-stabber has the pleasure in stirring up trouble and then makes you feel guilty since you’re a friend and will defend them through thick and thin.

They are aggressively competitive in nature. If you have a friend who is always trying to compete with you in whatever you do or tells you it is hard to achieve what you are aiming at, yet they are secretly pursuing your goal, then there is need to watch out.

Dinah Uwera (not really names) said that since high school her best friend was Sheila. Sheila always wanted to have everything that Dinah had to the extent that every time she was dumped by a boyfriend, somehow Sheila ended up dating that very guy. Dinah in most case lived under Sheila’s shadow since she had low self-esteem.

The only way Dinah would take on a challenging venture was when Sheila had failed or told her to do so. Dinah had never known Sheila‘s intentions until she got a job at a Telecom firm. At the telecom firm, Dinah met Chantal who treated her differently from Sheila because she respected her decisions and would let her make her choices.

A year later at the Telecom firm, Dinah fell in love with Derrick and they got engaged. When Sheila heard the news, she looked for ways of crushing her best friend’s dream because no one else had proposed to her. Sheila massively tarnished Dinah by bad mouthing her and telling Derrick of how Dinah is a player and user. She tainted Dinah’s history and said she always snatched her boyfriends during high school and at University.

Luckily enough, Chantal was the couple’s friend. The soon-to-be groom, confided in her and told Derrick to put into consideration the motives of Sheila who told him the baseless stories yet she claimed to be a friend of the bride-to-be. Finally Dinah broke off any ties with her backstabbing ‘best friend’ Sheila.

A true friend is supposed to encourage you in whatever you do even when it seems impossible. In most cases backstabbers are opportunists; they go for the best and never wish other well. In the vision of a backstabber everything is about them while everyone else is meaningless.

This does not mean that you should put your friends up for a test to determine if they are true friends. Trust your friends but test the advice they give you and get to know their real motives.

True friendship is a gift from above.
