Rwanda Swimming Federation (RSF) has organized a Children’s Christmas fun day that will take place today at Hotel La Palisse, Nyandunugu.

According to Samuel Ufitimana Kinimba, the President of RSF, the function which will draw children from all the swimming clubs around Kigali city, will begin with a swimming competition.

He added that the winners will be awarded a variety of prizes.

Ufitimana said that during the event, children will also get involved in a number of other activities such as face painting, kids’ dancing competition, eating competition, treasure hunting, bouncing castles, among others.

"The main objective of this function is to identify and promote swimming talents among the children from all swimming clubs around Kigali, and of course we cannot allow this festive season to pass without giving them something to remember,” Ufitimana said.

He also noted that the children will have time with Father Christmas all the way from Nairobi, Kenya.

Every child will be requested to pay at least Rwf3000 for drinks, food and other gifts from Father Christmas.
