L-R : Vintage Kitchen Red-White Christmas Decoration ; Bedroom decorated in christmas theme

This is a day that we all love. We receive friends and family from far and wide on this day to celebrate with us on this special day which comes only once a year. In order to fully enjoy your Christmas make sure that in all the corners of your home is saying merry Christmas to anyone who enters, be it the living, bedroom, kitchen or even out in the gardens.

Different rooms or areas in the home can be decorated differently from the other since no room is like the other;

Living room: A must have is Christmas tree in every living room, nicely decorated and well placed in a corner. Christmas lightings and hangings should also be in place by the time we start singing our Christmas carols. The dining table should be draped with table clothes which have a Christmas theme. Curtains can also be matched to go with the Christmas theme. If possible the living room should be alive with beautiful Christmas carols tunes coming out from somewhere in the background.

Kitchen: One of the rooms in your house that you should never forget to decorate during Christmas is the kitchen room especially if you are spending a lot of your time in the room preparing for your Christmas feast. If you think about it most people tend to forget to decorate their kitchens during festive season.

This is where all the delicacies will be prepared from, so you better spice up your kitchen in the Christmas mood! A few Christmas hangings can do for you. Christmas gloves can be hanged in the kitchen to look inviting. Make sure that the Christmas table mats and the place mats are in place. Your kitchen it is the heart of your home so it should not be forgotten, a santa claus can do as a hanging in the kitchen to finish off the Christmas mood in your kitchen.

Bedroom: Add a cosy throw to your bed or piece of accent furniture if you’ve got one. A warm blanket in a festive colour can do wonders for adding warmth and holiday cheer. Like in any room, a great way to add a little holiday colour is with ribbon. Use double-sided tape to attach ribbon to lampshades, or, a great thing to do in the bedroom is to add ribbon to the window treatments.

Again, use double-sided tape for easy application and removal, and add ribbon to the edges of curtains or drapes to create a coloured border. It’s a great way to add some Christmas colour and it can work on any type of fabric window treatment, whether it’s long curtains or a simple roman shade.

Garden – when the Christmas lightings are hanged in the garden and more especially when they are hanged on a green fence and lit at night, the place will look lovely, plus a little bit of creativity will do the trick.

Christmas decorating is fun for children and adults and can add great appeal and atmosphere to a home. Choose a color scheme and a Christmas theme and use everyday objects to create a wonderful Christmas display. This will be enjoyed by all who will visit you during this festive season.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
