Gasogi United have been drawn against fellow Rwanda Premier League side Rwamagana City in the preliminary round of the 2023 Peace Cup tournament which kicks off February 14.

The encounter is one of 11 fixtures announced during the draw that took place Wednesday, February 8, at Ferwafa headquarters in Remera.

Gorilla will visit Sunrise in another clash between topflight clubs.

According to Ferwafa spokesperson Jules Karangwa told Times Sport that the draw brought together second division teams which were joined by some topflight teams selected based on how they fared in the last three editions of the Peace Cup.

This year's Peace Cup will start with the preliminaries after which qualified teams will again be brought together for another draw of the two-leg knockout stages stating from round of 32.

AS Kigali won last season’s Peace Cup after beating rivals APR 1-0 in the final at Kigali Stadium back in June 2022.
